Winter season 2025/26: Rastrelli Cello Quartet

The Rastrelli Cello Quartet has been internationally established for a long time under its artistic director Kira Kraftzoff. The musicians have also performed several times with great success in Tübingen. On Thursday, alongside classical works such as the Five Dances from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by Sergei Prokofiev and the Vocalise by Sergei Rachmaninoff, the program will also feature rock hits from the 1970s, which the quartet has arranged themselves, including songs by the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. The Cultural Department of Eberhard Karls University has invited a variety of orchestras, chamber music ensembles, and soloists to Tübingen over its more than 60-year history. Subscription concerts have been held since 1959, and since 1963, the Cultural Department has organized summer concerts at Bebenhausen Monastery as well as winter concerts in the fest hall of the New Aula of the university. The Cultural Department has organized around 5,000 concerts to date. The diverse program includes symphony concerts, recitals, chamber music concerts, and song evenings.
