Winter season 2025/26: Czech Symphony Orchestra Prague

To kick off the winter season 2025/2026 of the Tübingen classical concerts, the Czech Symphony Orchestra Prague will present a program of film music next Thursday, October 23, in the Festsaal of the University of Tübingen (Neue Aula). From now on, the winter season concerts will begin at 8:00 PM. The orchestra will perform under the direction of Jiri Mikula. The soloists for the evening are Romanian pan flutist Andreea Chira and harmonica player Gerhard Müller. Before the concert, there will be a free introductory lecture for concert visitors at 7:15 PM in the "Audimax" of the Neue Aula.

The Cultural Office of Eberhard Karls University has invited a variety of orchestras, chamber music ensembles, and soloists to Tübingen over its more than 60-year history. Subscription concerts have been held since 1959, and since 1963, the Cultural Office has organized summer concerts at Bebenhausen Monastery as well as winter concerts in the Festsaal of the Neue Aula of the university. The Cultural Office has organized around 5,000 concerts to date. The diverse program consists of symphony concerts, recitals, chamber music concerts, and song evenings.
