Winter season 2025/26: Joseph Moog - Piano Evening

A piano evening with the German pianist Joseph Moog awaits you next Tuesday, November 25, in the Festsaal of the University of Tübingen (Neue Aula). Like all concerts of the winter season, the piano evening will begin at 8:00 PM. Joseph Moog is one of the outstanding pianists of his generation, and his recordings have been awarded, among others, the Gramophone Classical Music Award. He regularly tours the globe with innovative programs. In the Festsaal, Moog will perform several scherzos and polonaises by Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt, as well as the lesser-known but all the more impressive work Troisième recueil de chants op. 65 by the French composer Charles Valentin Alkan from the Romantic era.

The Cultural Department of Eberhard Karls University has invited a variety of orchestras, chamber music ensembles, and soloists to Tübingen over its more than 60-year history. Subscription concerts have been held since 1959, and since 1963, the Cultural Department has organized summer concerts at Bebenhausen Monastery and winter concerts in the Festsaal of the Neue Aula of the university. The Cultural Department has organized around 5,000 concerts to date. The diverse program includes symphony concerts, recitals, chamber music concerts, and song evenings.
