Michael Zalejski (Piano + Vocals) presents songs by: "Reinhard Mey" by Kulturbesen at Szene 64.

"I wanted to sing something by Reinhard..." The audience can expect, on one hand, the well-known songs of Reinhard Mey, but also a journey through the various themes and facets of life, in the spirit of a typical Mey concert. Since his homage to Udo Jürgens, which he has been presenting nationwide in Germany since 2013, it has become clear that Michael Zalejski is a master of emotions, which he knows how to evoke in the audience. Alongside his brilliant piano playing and unique singing, it is primarily his authentic manner of symbolically revealing the stories and feelings contained in the songs that stands out. Combined with humorous and often situational moderation, this creates a very special concert evening. Just like the music of Udo Jürgens, Zalejski has been accompanied by the songs of Reinhard Mey throughout his life. Not least the fact that there are also some shared songs by these two exceptional artists suggested that it was time to bring an homage to Reinhard Mey to the stage. The only thing missing is the guitar, as Zalejski accompanies himself on the piano; however, this is not a drawback but rather opens up new possibilities and sound experiences when listening to the songs of Reinhard Mey, thus providing all the prerequisites for a unique concert evening. Zalejski has studied piano and singing, has been performing improvisational comedy and concerts in the German-speaking world for over 25 years, and teaches aspiring music teachers at the Hanover University of Music in the subject of practical piano playing for schools.
