World Alzheimer's Day 2025: Dementia – Being and Staying Human

Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia can affect anyone. This illness changes people, gradually taking away many things they used to be able to do and know. However, the person remains. The ability to feel emotions such as joy, fear, and pain persists – until the very end.
On the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day, specialized institutions in Müllheim will provide information about the disease and support options. The film "Diagnosis Dementia – A Horror Without a Ghost" personally documents the course of dementia experienced by the director's mother over seven years through private recordings. It is intended as an uplifting film, showing that life with dementia can also have beautiful and intense moments.
The film starts at 5:00 PM. Admission is 5 EUR. Light refreshments will be provided afterward. Accessible entry can be arranged upon request.

At the bookshop Beidek, there will be a book table on the topic of dementia from September 19 to 28 (World Alzheimer’s Week).
