Food and drink at the manger

And they brought their gifts. Food and drink are, on the one hand, basic needs of humans, and on the other hand, they bring joy and happiness. From a biblical perspective, they are gifts from God. In the New Testament, Jesus identifies himself as nourishment for the faithful: "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty again." (John 6:35). Those who give share a piece of themselves - this is especially true at Christmas. The exhibition "And they brought him their gifts" takes this ancient gesture as its starting point and connects it with what we humans have always shared: food, drink, joy. The exhibition invites wonder, smiles - and reflection on what we ourselves pass on.
