Once again this year, dedicated volunteers from the community have invested a great deal of time and effort to create the 4th Oberstadion Easter Egg Trail and the 1st Easter Trail. It delights visitors not only with its various sculptures—such as the globe, lamb, spring, rooster, and hen—but also with images of the “Risen Savior,” the “Gethsemane Scene,” the “Crucifixion Group,” and the “Holy Sepulcher,” which are crafted from approximately 3,000 lacquered quail eggs. At the same time as the Easter Egg Trail, visitors can marvel at fantastic paintings on quail, goose, chicken, and ostrich eggs, as well as artworks carved into eggs, and embroidered and scratched eggs at the Easter Egg Exhibition in the Nativity Museum in Oberstadion. Every artwork is handmade and one-of-a-kind. The Easter Egg Exhibition is open: Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
