Pleasure Walk: Experience Celtic History & Swabian Delicacies! Autumn Edition

The Genuss Walk takes you through the Heidengraben experience area. Participants will discover Celtic relics such as fortifications and burial fields, and learn fascinating details about the history. Along the way, there will be Swabian specialties. Distance: approximately 5 km, with a limited number of participants. When the Heidengraben experience area is bathed in warm autumn light, AlbVerführer Bernd Kühfuß and Tanja Breitenbücher from the Heidengraben Center invite you on a special journey: the Genuss Walk Part 2. Amidst autumn-colored trees and the gentle hills of the ancient Celtic metropolis, participants will not only uncover traces of a culture over 2000 years old but also the culinary treasures of the Swabian Jura. On the hike along the Celtic experience trail, lively narratives bring the past back to life – from the impressive city gate to the historic necropolis with its burial mounds. Along the way, there are tasting stations featuring seasonal specialties, lovingly prepared and spiced with little stories from the region. Whether hearty Swabian delicacies, fine autumn fruits, or surprising beverages – this walk is a feast for all the senses. The autumn edition offers new stations, different culinary highlights, and fresh insights into research at Heidengraben. Thus, history becomes not only vivid but also tasty – an experience that resonates in your mind and on your palate for a long time. The event concludes at the bistro of the Heidengraben Center, where the exhibition can still be visited after the event (the costs for this are not included in the admission price). The organizers warmly invite you and look forward to your visit. Here’s what to expect: Welcome at 10 AM. Greeting by Tanja Breitenbücher and Bernd Kühfuß in front of the Heidengraben Tower, with a sparkling wine reception. We will explore the Albtrauf, fortifications, and burial fields at four additional stations while enjoying Swabian delicacies along the way. A lunch break is planned around 12 PM. The event will conclude at the HZG, approximately between 3 and 3:30 PM. Farewell to our guests at the Heidengraben Center with a small surprise drink. You should be in good walking condition. We will not encounter any steep inclines, but we will be outdoors for up to 5 km across the experience area. Alcoholic beverages will be served, but we will also have non-alcoholic alternatives available for you. If you have allergies or intolerances, please let us know.
