"SchMERZtherapie" satirically depicts the chaos following the election: coalition poker, a culture of dispute, and absurd color games. Politicians, service staff, and historical figures debate until even time runs backward – sharp, musical, and pointed. What a strong piece the voter has put together! How is one supposed to form a government from this election result? Of course, a grand coalition is always an option! But that hasn't often gone smoothly in the past. How can they govern together when the culture of dispute in the high house is abysmal? The President of the Bundestag sentences three members of parliament to detention. Listening, trust exercises, putting oneself in the shoes of the political opponent. After all, the new government should be a marriage of love and not a forced union. But who can even work with whom? Grand coalition, Jamaica, traffic light, or blackberry coalition – what color games are possible in the newly elected Bundestag? Are the firewalls made of concrete or lightweight construction? In the SchMERZtherapie, politicians, service staff, moderators, and historical figures come together to debate and explore who is a friend and who is an enemy. At some point, even time runs backward.
