Object Karaoke - The Thing from the Depot

Object karaoke is an innovative event format that originates from the poetry slam scene. It combines objects with improvisational theater. Object karaoke features exhibits from the Radolfzell City Museum. Moderation: Johannes Elster.

In the museum, we marvel at exhibits that testify to long-gone times, foreign cultures, artistic genius, or simply a good curation by the institution. Normally, we are denied a glimpse behind the scenes, into the storage areas and depot of the Radolfzell City Museum. During object karaoke, improvisational artists present items from the Radolfzell City Museum that they see on stage for the first time. Every six minutes, they are presented with a new object every 90 seconds and must introduce it to the audience in the most original way possible. After each presentation, the museum explains the true story behind the object to the audience. It is up to the spectators to decide, through the volume of their applause, who advances to the finals and wins the first object karaoke in Radolfzell. Admission: €6 Reduced: €3
