Weekend exhibition with Thomas Zipfel

For the 130th anniversary of the SVS, the humorous winter images and caricatures of former competitive athlete and artist Thomas Zipfel will be exhibited at the Hans-Thoma Art Museum. The Black Forest native Thomas Zipfel was an active competitive athlete for many years. Sports dictated his rhythm: cross-country skiing in winter, mountain biking and road cycling in summer. Along the way, he discovered his quieter passion for painting and drawing. Since 1980, Thomas Zipfel has been drawing for newspapers and magazines in Germany, Norway, and Switzerland. His cartoons and caricatures have appeared in World Cup cross-country skiing and ski jumping events. On the occasion of the SVS anniversary on October 11, 2025, in Bernau, with events in the spa park and the spa house, Bernau - Innerlehen, Thomas Zipfel will showcase winter images and caricatures about skiing at the Hans-Thoma Art Museum.
