Kilimanjaro – this time with crutches

A documentary by Michael Scheyer about the power of thoughts. He will be present at the screening. The mountaineer Thomas Lämmle conquered eight-thousanders like Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. However, after a serious paragliding accident, he ended up in a wheelchair – with the suspicion that he might never walk again. He could not come to terms with that, however. He started training hard and set himself a goal: to climb the beloved Kilimanjaro one more time. "And if it has to be with crutches," said Lämmle, "then so be it." The film follows his 63rd ascent of the highest mountain in Africa – but the first one where he relies on walking aids.
