Guided hike: Through the Horn Forest to the Hochburg

Hike to the third largest castle complex in Baden We will take bus 230 at 1:42 PM to Sexau-Lörch and then hike along the Traufweg by the Brettenbach on the west side of the Hornwald up to the impressive Hochburg, the third largest castle complex in Baden. From here, we enjoy the fantastic view to the west towards the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges. To the east, the view extends over the Sexau vineyards to the Kandel. After a short break in the castle courtyard and an extensive tour of the castle complex, we will hike down on the east side of the Hornwald with scenic views back to Sexau for a meal at the Pizzeria "La Pugliese" and then continue past Hornwaldeck back to the starting point. We will return to Waldkirch by bus 230.
