Guided hike: Autumn impressions in the Buchholzer Forest and the vineyards

Colorful leaves in the forest and in the vineyards, beautiful views of mountains and valleys. The hike begins at the Schützenhaus in Buchholz. We walk along the Winterhaldenweg with moderate ascents up to the Upper Hut, where we can take a short break. From there, we continue to Eulenrank and Grenzweg, passing the signposts "Husarendobel" and "Mörtelbuck" to the edge of the forest. There, we enjoy the panoramic view over the Elztal, towards the Black Forest mountains, and with a bit of luck, we can even see the Kaiserstuhl and, if the weather permits, the Vosges. Through the autumn vineyards, we arrive at "Fohrenbühl," where we can either head down to Buchholz for a stop at Café "Elisabeth" or alternatively, walk back to the starting point of the tour. In both cases, you can easily take the S-Bahn from Batzenhäusle or Buchholz to Waldkirch.
