itdesign Nikolaus Run Tübingen

The itDesign Nikolauslauf has been a staple event in Tübingen for decades. The half marathon (21.1 km), long one of the most sought-after races in the country, enjoys a constantly increasing number of participants, among whom are also some celebrities each year, further enhancing the appeal of the event. At the premiere of the Tübingen Nikolauslauf in 1976, only 24 participants dared to take on the half marathon course. Today, the Tübingen Nikolauslauf is a success story: every December, more than 3,000 runners set out on the scenic route to complete the unique twenty-one kilometers. The Nikolauslauf is thus the largest winter run in Germany. Membership in the "German Road Races" – the Bundesliga of German road races – is just one example of this development. The incredible enthusiasm of the organizing team from Post-SV Tübingen is also unparalleled. The 250 volunteers represent the core of the Nikolauslauf brand: non-profit! An event for everyone – with a focus on the joy of sports – on a fascinating half marathon route at the edge of the Schönbuch Nature Park.
