Founded in the 1930s, the sister trio consisting of LaVerne, Maxene, and Patty took the music world by storm. When the group began their career, Patty, the youngest of the three sisters, was just seven years old. Their hits like "Bei mir bist Du schön," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and "Rum and Coca-Cola" are immortal and still make people dance today. The music continues to captivate with its blend of harmonized vocals, swinging beats, and pulsating rhythms.

As the first female vocal group, the Andrews Sisters won a gold record in 1938 for "Bei mir bist Du schön." They sang for American soldiers during World War II and performed alongside stars like Bing Crosby and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. They appeared in 17 films, often playing themselves.

The Komödie im Marquardt dedicates an evening of theater to these pioneers who influenced generations of women in pop, rock, and jazz, featuring a lot of music, which will be presented as a guest performance at the Heilbronn comedy house. The play tells their story from the perspective of the youngest Andrews Sister, Patty. She reflects on her life and recalls all the moments and special events in the career of the Andrews Sisters. The author and director of the piece, Murat Yeginer, brings the Andrews Sisters back to life in this way. He tells a story about music, love, war, challenges, and hopes, sprinkled with many well-known hits.
