Stephan Zinner has the blues. This does not mean that he is downcast; on the contrary. In his new program, he embarks on a journey to the roots of the blues with the energy characteristic of the genre, titled "The Devil, the Girl, the Blues, and Me." These roots are not, as many think, solely in the Mississippi Delta in the southern USA; no, they also lie in Trostberg in Upper Bavaria. Of course, there are no cotton fields there, but cornfields, and you won't meet the devil at the crossroads but rather at the local savings bank on the corner. Instead of bourbon, they drink Rüscherl, but the women can drive you to despair just the same, the work is hard, the rich are rich, the poor are poor, and only music can save you. So, Zinner picks up the guitar and, with the support of a true devil of a man named Peter Pichler, will howl the blues, preach the gospel, and dance until Satan himself gets dizzy. Praise the Lord and rock on! When Stephan Zinner is not performing as a musical cabaret artist, he spends a lot of time in front of the camera. Among other roles, he plays the butcher Simmerl in the Eberhofer crime series, Commissioner Dennis Eden in the Munich Police Call, and Pastor Reiser in the new Franz-Xaver-Bogner series "HimmelHerrgottSakrament."
