The Wartburg near Eisenach enchants its visitors at this time of year with a historic Christmas market and delightful Advent concerts. In addition to the castle courtyards, the festival hall, the museum, and the famous Luther room are open for viewing with the "entrance fee." There is also the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the medieval palace at short, regular intervals. The south tower offers a fairy-tale view over the wintry landscape of the Thuringian Forest.
