"Suspiciously Accordant - 'Stay, it wants to be evening'"

A contemplative a cappella program featuring four singers will be presented, showcasing works from various eras. It includes sacred pieces by Bach, Mendelssohn, Gjeilo, and others. The eight-voice vocal ensemble "Akkordverdächtig," based in Ulm, will perform at the Aurelius Church in Hirsau on the Day of Mourning, November 16, 2025, at 5 PM. The program will offer a reflective a cappella experience with works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Gjeilo, and others. The ensemble was founded in 2016 in the context of the University of Ulm's chamber choir and is dedicated to eight-part a cappella singing. This concert will feature the singers' fifth program to date. One of the singers, Werner Weiss, grew up in the Catholic parish of Bad Liebenzell-Hirsau, sang for many years with the Aurelius Boys' Choir in Calw, and is very pleased to perform in the venerable walls of St. Aurelius.
