Magic of Life - Paintings by Andrea Dürr

The title of the exhibition "Magic of Life" suggests that "Mother Earth" offers an inexhaustible source of creativity. Andrea Dürr draws impulses and inspiration from landscapes, skies, trees, flowers, and holiday moods, as well as their colors throughout the seasons. However, she is not focused on classical landscape paintings; rather, in her artistic process, she transforms impressions from nature and memories into free-flowing, associative color compositions. With her paintings, she does not aim to convey something finished, but rather to create spaces for the viewer, to open doors, and to spark curiosity. Personal associations may connect, for example, with a horizon line and memories of vacations by the sea or walks in the woods. Andrea Dürr states: "My way of painting allows for the emergence of spaces within the images. They are like open doors through which the viewer can stroll, as if on a walk." The exhibition of the artist Ms. Dürr can be visited from October 2025 to early January 2026 at the Schwarzwaldklinik for Neurology in Bad Krozingen. Her works are displayed both in the foyer of the Schwarzwaldklinik Neurology and in the corridor on the right, where they can be viewed at leisure. There is an opportunity to meet Ms. Dürr in person and discuss her art with her during an opening reception. On October 22 at 4:30 PM, our Medical Director Prof. Dr. Hetzel will welcome the artist Ms. Dürr in the foyer of the Neurology department, and together they will inform visitors about the current exhibition. Guests can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or juice, as well as a sweet pastry. Refreshments will be provided. This way, visitors can engage in extensive conversations with the artist about her works. We look forward to your attendance.
