Scherzmarkt - Largest Fair in the Region

The meeting point has always been the Scherzmarkt. The Krammarkt is one of the markets in Treysa that has been documented since the 16th century. It has traditionally held a special significance in the Schwalm region. It takes place during the time "between the years." According to old custom, this was the period when servants could change their place of work ("scherzen"). In the evening, all the pubs in the old town are open and invite visitors.
