The powerful-voiced Dr. Will, with his buffalo tooth necklace and feathered top hat, could have stepped right out of a Tarantino film. But this guy is real, an entertainer & gentleman. A miracle doctor who walks between heaven and hell. Yet, Dr. Will never loses sight of musical quality: His albums "I Want My Money Back" (2020) and "Cuffs Off" (2015) were each awarded the quarterly prize of the German Record Critics. Dr. Will is an outstanding composer, lyricist, and producer. Blues & Roots is in his DNA. The fact that everyone in his hellishly good band, The Wizards, has a little "quirk" adds the finishing touch to his performance. Powerful double bass, buzzing banjo picking, magical guitars, and Dr. Will himself on the stomping stand-up drums. The band from the deep South brews its own magical concoction from a rich dose of blues with New Orleans feeling, a portion of roots music, a heaping tablespoon of rock, and a generous helping of humor. Earthy & elevated. For 20 years, this "madness on eight legs" has been performing in clubs, halls, and festivals across Europe.
