The locomotive is steaming. Opinions differ on how far reggae can be stretched and bent. It is not even clear in which direction the limits of the impossible lie. Saidon Train, with his eponymous band, has taken on this "Ruta No Conventional" and provocatively caused a collision par excellence. Within it, there is a broad body of traditional reggae featuring Saidon's strong, clear voice, unmistakable drum rhythms, and a guitar beat that punctuates the whole. In close proximity to this event, a pleasant pressure from a sometimes provocative and playfully melodic bass performance is noticeable, allowing space for a delicate, glowing, dancing interplay between solo guitar and piano to emerge. It becomes truly impressive when Trailerpark Lini mixes into the fray and begins to sort things out with the clear language of a calm rap. It is pleasantly new, different, fresh, and danceable.
