Christmas Market 2025 in Freudenstadt

Festive magic, the scent of mulled wine, punch, and roasted almonds will soon return to Germany's largest marketplace! From December 4 to December 14, 2025, the Upper Marketplace will shine with the charm of Christmas market stalls. From Thursday to Sunday, the stalls will open their windows from 11 AM to 9 PM. The offerings at the Freudenstadt Christmas Market range from lovingly crafted handmade items to natural cosmetics and Christmas cookies. Whether it's handmade candles, felted goods, intricate wood carvings, toys, warm knitted items, artistic Christmas decorations, and much more – the selection from the exhibitors is vast. Thanks to the diverse offerings, gift-giving becomes a pleasure. The culinary selection will also make the hearts of food lovers race. Warm drinks such as mulled wine, punch, and more, red sausages in various variations, burgers, pizza, and rigatoni, Swabian, Croatian, and oriental delicacies, as well as sweet temptations like crêpes, waffles, and Baumstriezel are the best means to combat the winter cold. The restaurateurs, as well as Freudenstadt associations and organizations, are looking forward to treating visitors. Numerous highlights will create a festive atmosphere during the pre-Christmas season. Surrounded by sparkling lights, the pavilion will once again transform into a Christmas nativity scene, specially made for the Christmas market last year. Numerous string lights will make the market shine in festive splendor, and the Freudenstadt kindergartens and schools will again provide very special Christmas tree decorations. The forestry department of the city administration will also contribute to the Christmas decoration. Visitors can follow the Christmas story between the stalls, which is likely still fresh in the memories of those who visited the winter garden. As soon as the Freudenstadt city band plays the first notes, a touch of Advent magic will envelop the city. What cannot be missed at the Freudenstadt Christmas Market? Right, the unique performances of the tower trumpeters, who will let Christmas melodies ring out over the square from the town hall tower. The Christmas market holds very special moments for children. The colorful children's carousel and the children's train will spin for the youngest audience. Santa Claus will be a guest and bring smiles to children's faces with sweet surprises. In the craft room, little hands can get creative, making Santa bags and Christmas tree ornaments on two dates. The staff of the Freudenstadt city library, the Tannenspitz puppet theater, and the Villingen puppet theater will tell stories that captivate both young and old.

2nd Ice Stock Cup
A special experience for all generations is the 2nd Freudenstadt Ice Stock Cup right in the middle of the marketplace, which created a great atmosphere last year. On a synthetic track, teams can prove their skills in ice stock shooting, with the top teams winning fantastic prizes. Outside of game times, the ice stock rink can be booked for private games on the hour. Those not participating in the Ice Stock Cup can still try their luck at ice stock shooting. By the way, it's a great reason to move the Christmas party directly to the Freudenstadt marketplace!
