In the last weekend of October, Ingrid Kirchner, Sibylle Sayer, and Elke Zahn will exhibit under the title "Subtle Matters" at the Calw Tannery Museum. Enchanted by the wonderful spaces and exhibits of the museum, they arrange their works here. Ingrid Kirchner presents images and objects with a unique character. She gives new meaning to found items, discarded materials, forgotten objects, and scrap by assembling them into pieces and sculptures that provoke thought and a smile from the viewer. Elke Zahn works with words that often detach from their original context and lead to new meanings. The master tailor creates her "Stitches" from wool felt, pure wool, linen, and cotton fabrics. The inscriptions are hand-stitched. Sibylle Sayer showcases handwoven pieces. Scarves and shawls made from wool, cotton, and linen feature fine color nuances and patterns. Wall hangings made from various materials create effects through different structures and the rhythm of transparency and density.
