A social half-day program centered around wine, featuring a guided wine-tasting walk and a stop at a Besen. The program includes a guided wine-tasting tour with a tasting, followed by dinner at a traditional Württemberg Besen. You’ll start the afternoon with a glass of Secco in the courtyard of the Winkler Winery in Brackenheim. Wine culture up close—After the welcome, you’ll set off on a tour with one of the wine experience guides and a German wine consultant who cultivates her own vineyards. Who better to introduce guests to the art of viticulture? The wine experience walk leads through a sea of vines in Germany’s largest red wine-growing region. Taste the Brackenheim wines right in the vineyard, where they’re grown. Regine Sommerfeld, a certified wine experience guide, will entertain you with stories about the region, its people, and the wine. And since fresh air is known to work up an appetite, the day wraps up with a cozy meal at the Winkler family’s Besen. The Besenküche serves up a hearty dinner, and the vaulted cellar at the Winkler Winery provides a charming setting. The “Uff’m Scheuraboda” wine tavern offers a typical regional atmosphere in a Württemberg-style Besen.
