Switching on the Christmas lights in Eppingen

Festive lighting of the Christmas decorations and XXL shopping on November 28, 2025. The Eppingen Christmas lights, featuring more than 200 glowing spheres in Altstadtstraße, Brettener Straße, and Bahnhofstraße, shine in festive splendor, creating a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the city center. The ceremonial switching on of the lights will take place on Friday, November 28, at 6:00 PM in the Eppingen marketplace. This will occur during a brief ceremony with speeches. Following the opening, the XXL shopping event invites visitors to stroll and shop until 10:00 PM, marking the start of the Eppingen Christmas shopping season. Participating stores and exhibitors will offer special promotions, and various stands will provide visitors with mulled wine, punch, waffles, raclette baguettes, sausages, and many other treats. Additionally, classes 8d, 10a, and 10d from the Selma-Rosenfeld-Realschule will be presenting. Guests can also look forward to "Magical Light Figures," presented by the Artificium Eppingen association, which will create a magical atmosphere. Musical accompaniment will be provided, among others, by the Eppingen trombone choir. Also taking place on this festive night is the 13th charity concert by the group midLIFE in collaboration with the Palmbräufreunde Eppingen in the Ahnenkeller. This year's proceeds will go to "Great Help for Little Heroes" and the "Children's HELP! Fund Kraichgau." Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert starts at 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
