The house at Steingasse 4 in Eppingen is one of the oldest half-timbered buildings in Eppingen and serves as a walk-in cultural monument, a small treasure chest in the context of half-timbered architecture. After several years of restoration, the house, colloquially known as "Frankeburg," is now accessible to the public as a walk-in cultural monument. Under the care of the Raußmühle e.V. support association, the house gains a new future as a cultural monument. The overhanging gable house, built in 1457 from oak beams, now reveals its secrets: here, architectural art and tradition, aesthetic form and material significance become visible, bringing the past back to life, complemented by small exhibitions on life and everyday life in the late Middle Ages.
