Ulmer Tent

Seven weeks of pure culture: every summer, the Ulmer Zelt brings an international program to Friedrichsau – from concerts and cabaret to acrobatics. Accessible, diverse, and with a unique flair in Ulm's green oasis. When the tent city is erected in Friedrichsau in the second half of May, a time full of music, humor, and surprising discoveries begins in Ulm. The Ulmer Zelt is one of the longest-running tent festivals in Germany – and delights with its mix of international artists, innovative acts, and intimate atmosphere. The main stage in the round tent can accommodate around 1,000 visitors and creates a special closeness to the performing artists – ideal for finely curated programs ranging from indie pop to world music, cabaret, and artistry. All around, the atmospheric beer garden invites you to linger, while the tent lounge offers additional space for smaller formats. The location in Friedrichsau – Ulm's largest park and easily accessible by public transport or bike – makes a visit particularly pleasant: short distances, lots of greenery, a relaxed scene. Families will also find a wide range of activities on offer, with around 20 events aimed specifically at children. A total of around 90,000 people flock to this unique festival world on the banks of the Danube every year.
