The city of Heilbronn, known for its wine, celebrates the grape harvest with a cozy harvest festival in the heart of the Wartberg vineyard landscape. Following a guided hike starting at the historic tree-press, an entertaining program and a variety of culinary delights await you. 12:00 p.m. Start of the grape harvest festival on the vineyard terraces near the elevated water tank, with refreshments 1:00 p.m. Meeting point at the old tree wine press at Riedstraße 29 near the Rolf Heinrich Winery/G.A. Heinrich Winery. Welcome by Käthchen von Heilbronn, tasting of new wine 1:30 p.m. A guided wine hike departs from the historic tree press along the Wine Panorama Trail to the elevated water tank on Wartberg 3:00 p.m. Ecumenical service with Prelate Ralf Albrecht and Pastor Markus Pfeiffer, musical accompaniment by the trombone choir and the Urbanus Choir 4:00 PM Welcome speeches by Daniel Drautz, Managing Director of the Heilbronn Cooperative Winery; Mayor Harry Mergel; Peter Albrecht, Vice President of the Württemberg Winegrowers’ Association; Kim Weißflog, the Württemberg Wine Queen; and Käthchen von Heilbronn A cozy conclusion with Derzenbach & Fuchs Since parking on the Wartberg is very limited, the organizers ask that you use public transportation (Line B) if possible.
