From Stonemason to Blacksmith—A themed tour through the Mühlbach district of Eppingen, including a visit to the Stonemason Museum.
The old blacksmith shop on Mühlbach’s Hauptstraße, built by Melchior Bauer in 1863, perfectly complements the collection at the Stonemason Museum, located just a few steps away. For the many local stonemasons, the blacksmith was an indispensable partner for forging and sharpening tools, as well as for shoeing horses. The fully preserved, original interior provides a good insight into the working conditions of this craft in days gone by.
**Guided tours are available only in combination ** **with the Mühlbach Stonemason Museum**
- Duration: approx. 60 minutes
- Maximum number of participants: 30 people

- You are welcome to visit the “Alte Schmiede” and the “Steinhauermuseum” in Mühlbach without a guided tour and with free admission:
- Open from May through October, Sundays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
