About us: In the most beautiful village in Germany, at least that's what we, the residents, believe, the Harvest and Wine Festival takes place every year on the first Sunday in October in Sasbachwalden. Over the years, the festival has grown into a large event known far beyond the region. Many groups and music bands, especially the numerous flower-decorated floats, delight guests from near and far - not to forget - our wine queen with her princesses and our wine god Bacchus with his Bacchantes.

What is special about our wine festival? As a traditional wine and fruit-growing community, it was decided in 1949 to organize a Harvest and Wine Festival. For the people of Sasbachwalden, it is the winemaker's festival, the highlight of the year. Over the years, the festival has grown into a well-known event beyond borders, with the highlight being the parade on the first Sunday in October. Thanks to the great commitment of all the clubs and institutions in the village, it is possible to organize such a large festival. Therefore, over time, the Winemaker Festival Community was formed, led by the festival president and festival host. The festival president is the current mayor, Sonja Schuchter.
