The family-run business, currently in its second generation, radiates a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity through the generational change. In the kitchen of the wine tavern, emphasis is placed on regional products. Vegetables, bread, and meat products come from suppliers in the immediate vicinity. The family winery with its wine tavern and guesthouse is centrally located in the Heilbronn district of Sontheim. Reservations are possible.

The wine experience tours are popular, offering panoramic excursions through the vineyards—wines are tasted in the best viewpoints on the Heilbronn Staufenberg. The modern wine shop at the Bauer winery serves as a backdrop for culinary wine evenings with friendly chefs. At the wine table in the Bauer winery, exclusive 4-5 course menus are paired with suitable wines.

Cycling and Hiking Tips
Whether on foot or by bike, the Bauer winery is ideally located to combine tours in the region with a relaxing stop. Just about a three-minute walk from the Bauer winery is the idyllic Neckar path. This hiking route offers charming views along the Neckar. The winery is an ideal place for a short break before continuing on the hiking trail. The Bauer winery is perfect as a starting point or stopover for a cycling tour. From Heilbronn, stage 4a of the Württemberg Wine Cycle Path leads to Lauffen. From there, you can return along the Neckar Valley Cycle Path by the river back to Heilbronn. It takes only about five minutes to reach the winery via the Sontheim Bridge.

Tips for a Day Trip
The Bauer winery is almost directly on the Neckar. Along the riverbank, it’s just a short walk to Wertwiesenpark, which offers a variety of play options for children and places to "let your soul dangle" in a colorful sea of flowers. About 3 km along the Neckar leads to the city center of Heilbronn, with cultural and shopping opportunities. On the way to the city, there is the option for a pedal boat tour on the Neckar.
