There, forest bathing is recommended by doctors to counteract stress and degenerative diseases and to strengthen the immune system. In Japan, forest bathing is an integral part of health care. The health-promoting effects of forest bathing include: reduction of stress hormones/burnout prevention, strengthening of the immune system, promotion of the heart-protective substance DHEA, alleviation of anxiety and sleep disorders, and much more. It is not to be understood as a substitute for conventional medical treatments. The event takes place in any weather. Cancellation by the organizer may occur in case of thunderstorms, storms, or heavy rain.
