On the second Advent weekend, Bliesmengen-Bolchen shines again in pre-Christmas splendor: The popular Menger-Bolcher Christmas market invites you to the Bliestalhalle, offering a diverse range of products and atmospheric music. Since 2014, the Menger-Bolcher Christmas market has taken place every second Advent weekend. The newly established working group for the Christmas market, which emerged from the AK Village Life led by Jasmin Hein and belongs to the village association Bliesmengen-Bolchen e. V., is primarily responsible for planning and organization. The patron and co-organizer is local mayor Timm Braun. One of the biggest innovations this year: In addition to the traditional outdoor area, there will be an Advent market inside the Bliestalhalle for the first time on Sunday. Smaller stalls will showcase handcrafted gift ideas, lovingly designed products, and various beautiful items for browsing and gifting—perfect for those looking for something special.

Saturday evening: Culinary delights, music, and twinkling lights The outdoor area of the Christmas market opens on Saturday, December 6, at 5 PM—accompanied by festive music and the aroma of mulled wine, punch, and winter delicacies. The culinary offerings take center stage on the first day of the event: from wraps, burgers, and fries to currywurst and warm meatloaf, as well as crêpes (sweet or savory), waffles, and popcorn—there's something for everyone. The selection of beverages is also impressive: alongside festive variations of mulled wine and punch, as well as cocoa (with and without a shot), there are more exotic specialties like hot cocktails, mulled mead, Amaretto apple, or Milk 43. For those who prefer something sparkling, they can look forward to Lillet, Aperol, and other spritz drinks—of course, there are also various beers, including bock beer, honey beer, and the popular Blanche Rosé. For the little visitors, a children's carousel will bring joy and bright eyes on Saturday. Guests can indulge and celebrate around the Bliestalhalle until late into the evening—among other things, in two large heated tents that protect visitors from wind and weather.

Sunday: Advent market, music, and magic On Sunday, December 7, activities continue at 11 AM. After the official opening by the choir "Coloured Voices" and patron Timm Braun, the new Advent market in the Bliestalhalle invites for a cozy stroll. From 1 PM, coffee and cake will be served, musically accompanied by Beate Loschky and Alexandra Grandjean. The outdoor area will again offer various treats on Sunday. At 1:30 PM, the well-known magician Maxim Maurice will amaze young and old alike with his show. The children's carousel will also be spinning its rounds on Sunday and will be open all day. At 2:30 PM, the winning pictures from the St. Paulus daycare painting competition will be awarded, before at 3 PM, St. Nicholas himself makes an appearance—musically framed by the Bliesmengen-Bolchen music association and the daycare children. The festive conclusion of the supporting program will be a short play by the children's group of the Naturbühne Gräfinthal at 5:30 PM. The Christmas market will remain open until at least 6 PM. Two days full of twinkling lights, culture, and enjoyment—the Menger-Bolcher Christmas market is the perfect place to get into the festive spirit.
