The State Museum of Württemberg commemorates one of the most significant events in our history: the Peasants' War of 1524/25. How did people in the 16th century define freedom and justice? The exhibition "UFFRUR!" explores this question. 500 years after the Peasants' War, the State Museum of Württemberg remembers the events of 1524/25 with the major state exhibition "UFFRUR! Utopia and Resistance in the Peasants' War 1524/25" at the Monastery of Schussenried. Spanning 900 square meters, the cultural-historical exhibition "UFFRUR!" takes the audience into the dynamics of the events.

Original Exhibits and Artificial Intelligence
The exhibition innovatively combines two very different approaches to conveying history. On one hand, the political, economic, and religious aspects of the Peasants' War are illuminated through numerous original exhibits, including the famous Weißenau Chronicle with its detailed illustrations: What drove the peasants to so resolutely oppose their lords, and what utopian visions of society did they develop in the process? In addition to the objects, eight personalities involved in the Peasants' War appear, creating an emotional and theatrical access. The figures recount the events from their perspective, making it understandable what emotions were at play. The exhibition team has deliberately conceived the actors as "art figures" with the help of Artificial Intelligence: Their appearance clearly indicates that no apparent historical accuracy is intended, but rather the highlighting of characteristics, in a form that is easily understandable for today's visitors. The spoken texts of the personalities are based on the latest research and are voiced by professional speakers.
