Enjoy, for example, the Mediterranean atmosphere of the statue-adorned castle courtyard with its palm trees, lavender bushes, lemon, fig, and olive trees. Or experience the beautiful view of the charming Taubertal under an Indian pavilion, benefiting from the mild climate that the Gamburg gardens enjoy, as well as the foothills of the nearby nature reserve Apfelberg. The castle park, with its botanical rarities, is also included: as a baroque garden laid out on an artificial terrace as part of a medieval castle complex, it represents a unique cultural monument of this size in Germany today. Its west-facing main axis is a testament to a special lighting concept, so that your stroll ultimately ends in the light of the last rays of the sun on a wonderful evening. You will be guided by Hans-Georg von Mallinckrodt, who, together with his French wife, has revived the once overgrown castle gardens over the past decades.
