Museum Opening - Wine Growing Room Kleingartach - Opening Hours 2025

Discover the history of viticulture in what was once the smallest town in Württemberg. In the Württemberg district of Kleingartach, which is part of the Baden town of Eppingen, there is much to explore: the boundary stone path, the pear tree avenue, and in the historic town center, alongside the old wine press and the village bakery, the wine room in the town hall, which was established as a museum annex in 2007. This multifunctional space, which also accommodates wine tastings or readings, uniquely connects the history of viticulture with the history of this once "smallest town in Württemberg." In addition to exhibits typical of a winemaker's working world, such as vine knives, baskets, or manure carriers made of wicker, the development of viticulture is explained, which was essential as a secondary source of income for the village's craftsmen. Information about the soil and climate conditions of the region and the various grape varieties can also be found in the presentation, along with historical facts about wine pressing. Opening hours: year-round on Thursdays from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM or by appointment (during the office hours of the administrative office).
