Museum Opening - Home and Tobacco Museum Elsenz - Dates 2025

Learn more about the history of tobacco at the Elsenz Local and Tobacco Museum. The district of Elsenz has a long tradition of tobacco cultivation, which has been favored by the local climate and soil. The museum, located in the town hall, tells the story of tobacco from the first encounter by sailors of Christopher Columbus's ship to the current public smoking ban. In a modern spatial presentation, the processes of sowing, harvesting, and enjoying tobacco are showcased throughout the year. Opening hours: May to October - every first Sunday, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
