Guided tour of Nordheim

A journey through time in Nordheim with its diverse local history. Guided tour with members of the local history association. The wine-growing community of Nordheim is located between the southeastern foothills of the Heuchelberg and the idyllic oxbow lake of the Neckar River. The renaturalized Katzentalbach stream with its beautiful town hall park on the grounds of the former Marval estate forms an attractive recreational area in the center of the village. Of historical interest are the history of the Seybold/von Marval family, the old town hall, and the Rococo-style rectory from 1763, which is considered the most beautiful rectory in the district. Special events in the history of Nordheim include its destruction during the French invasion in 1693, the town fire of 1810, and a murder by poisoning in 1766, as a result of which the perpetrator was executed by the sword.
