Local Tour Northheim

A time travel through Nordheim with its diverse local history. Guided tour with members of the local heritage association. The wine-growing community of Nordheim is located between the southeastern foothills of the Heuchelberg and the idyllic old arm of the Neckar River. The renatured Katzentalbach, along with the beautiful town hall park on the grounds of the former von Marval estate, creates an attractive recreational area right in the center of the town. Historically interesting is the story of the Seybold/von Marval family, the Old Town Hall, and the parsonage built in the Rococo style in 1763, which is considered the most beautiful parsonage in the district. Notable events in the history of Nordheim include the destruction during the French invasion in 1693, the town fire of 1810, and a poisoning murder in 1766, after which the perpetrator was executed by sword.
