Hölderlin's Birthday Table

Lecture event about the life of Friedrich Hölderlin in his birthplace. On March 20, 2025, we will celebrate the 255th birthday of Friedrich Hölderlin, one of the most significant German poets, who was born in Lauffen am Neckar. Hölderlin is considered one of the special representatives of German literature and has significantly influenced romantic poetry with his works. Born in 1770, Hölderlin entered a time marked by political upheavals and cultural changes. On the occasion of his 255th birthday, tour guide Gabi Ebner-Schlag will recall the eventful life and extraordinary work of Friedrich Hölderlin during the event. We will meet in a cozy atmosphere at the HofCafé of the Hölderlin House on his birthday - at his birthplace… and wander through his life.
