Christmas market in Bad Mergentheim

The romantic spa and vacation town of Bad Mergentheim once again dons its festive attire in the run-up to Christmas. "Worlds of Light" is the atmospheric motto of a colorful cultural and experiential program in Bad Mergentheim, the centerpiece of which is the traditional Christmas market in the historic old town. When the alleys are bathed in warm light and lovingly decorated stalls invite visitors to linger, an atmosphere is created that captivates visitors of all ages. Between sparkling fairy lights, decorated facades, and the scent of winter delicacies, a stroll through the market becomes a special experience during the Advent season. A colorful assortment of handcrafted products is offered around the large Christmas tree: in addition to woodturning, ceramics, wooden toys, carvings, pottery, and handicrafts, mulled wine is just as much a part of the market as cookies and festive Christmas decorations. The city center is filled with the tempting aromas of punch, roasted almonds, waffles, and bratwurst. The lovingly decorated stalls offer sweet and savory specialties that invite you to linger and enjoy. The Bad Mergentheim Christmas market will not only take place from December 3 to December 6, 2026, but will also return for a second round from December 10 to December 13, 2026. It will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day, with food stalls remaining open until 10:00 p.m. A program will be announced in good time.
