The Residence Castle brings together the centuries-old history of the Teutonic Order under one roof, along with additional rooms that bring the history of the city to life and showcase the foundation of the museum collections. The Mörike Cabinet and the Neolithic period in the Tauber Valley, featuring a touching quadruple burial, make history tangible. The Staufer palace arcades, the Berwart staircase from the Renaissance, and the magnificent chapter hall from 1780/82 are just three of the architectural highlights in the castle. Additionally, there is the Adelsheim collection as the basis of today's collections, the Spitalsmadonna as an art-historically significant object, the Engel Pharmacy as a symbol of the close connection between the city and the Teutonic Order, and more.
