**This fascinating tour brings the origins of the architecture to life, as well as the origins of the collections in the castle. Diversity is the motto!**
The residential palace combines under one roof the centuries-long history of the Teutonic Order, which used and shaped the palace since 1219, with other rooms that bring the history of the city to life and present the foundation of the museum collections. The Mörike Cabinet and the Neolithic Age in the Tauber Valley with a touching quadruple burial bring history to life.
The Staufian palace arcades, the Berwart staircase from the Renaissance, and the magnificent chapter house from 1780/82 are just three of the architectural highlights in the castle. In addition, there is the Adelsheim Collection, which forms the basis of today's collections, the Spitalsmadonna, an object of art-historical significance, the Engel Pharmacy, a symbol of the close ties between the town and the Teutonic Order, and much more. This fascinating tour brings the origins of the architecture to life, as well as the origins of the collections in the castle. Diversity is the motto!
**Summer season (April 1 to October 31)**: Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays: 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
**Winter season (November 1 to March 31)**: Wednesday to Saturday: 2:15 p.m. Sundays and public holidays: 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
