The Ablachtalbahn – Bridge between Meßkirch, the region, and the world

With the railway, technical innovations and previously unknown developments arrive in the region and in Meßkirch around 1870. Trade and transport of local products become possible. The railway builds a bridge: mobility becomes normal, and contact with the "big wide world" and its ideas is established. The example of Meßkirch makes it clear: How do society and the area change? During the tour, Kreszentia, a Fleckvieh breeder from Heudorf, shares stories from her life in the 19th century.
