Family-run wine tavern with a rustic ambiance. The kitchen serves regional, seasonal dishes that are always freshly prepared. In the cozy rooms of the wine tavern "Uff’m Scheuraboda" at the Winkler winery, which feature visible half-timbering, wines and high-quality dishes are served. This wine tavern has been repeatedly awarded the quality seal "Recommended Württemberg Wine Tavern" by the Württemberg Wine Institute. In the rustic parlor, guests can enjoy regional delicacies and the house wines in a relaxed atmosphere. The wines come from the winery's own vineyards and are produced in the winery's cellar with the highest quality standards. Numerous awards confirm the success of this commitment. The winery also sets ecological standards with reduced pruning, greening, intensive humus management, and minimal plant protection. The wine selection can be experienced directly in the wine tavern, during a wine tasting, or through one of the tasting packages.
Additional notes & information:
- Maximum 60 seats for groups of 35 or more available upon request, also open outside regular tavern hours.
- Recommended Württemberg Wine Tavern: This quality seal is awarded to wine taverns that offer high wine enjoyment. The establishments are evaluated based on a comprehensive point system that includes criteria such as wine quality, food and drink selection, service competence, glass culture, and ambiance. A re-evaluation takes place every three years.
Wine region Brackenheim: The Heuss city of Brackenheim is recognized as a wine region for the Wine South for its wide variety of experiences related to wine. Here, the Lemberger grape variety, a typical Württemberg variety, is at home. A visit to the Stromberg-Zabergäu winegrowers' cooperative can be perfectly combined with a short vacation in the wine region of Württemberg: Discover wine festivals, Wine Hiking Events – wine and hiking in the vineyards, wine experience tours, and wagon rides – discover wine where it grows, and wine taverns – enjoy a rustic meal.
Tips for a day trip: The day begins with a piece of history on the Heuss tour around Brackenheim or a visit to the Theodor Heuss Museum. After that, the surroundings can be explored at a leisurely pace, whether on one of the beautiful cycling or hiking routes. For cyclists, the KR1 Heuchelberg route (approx. 60 km) is recommended, leading through four valley streams around Heuchelberg, or the shorter Z2 Trimmertour (approx. 32 km), which goes through Germany's largest red wine region. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the BRA1 Heuchelberg Trail (approx. 19 km) or the BRA2 Zweifelberg Panorama (approx. 9 km). The BRA3 Wander3Klang Brackenheim (approx. 4.5 km) circles the wine village of Neipperg and offers beautiful panoramic views. Those on one of the Wander3Klang paths should definitely plan a detour to the wine stand at Zweifelberg and take a break there. At the end of the day, a visit to the Winkler winery can conclude the experience. The courtyard and garden offer three paid parking spaces for motorhomes, perfect for a relaxing overnight stay. Before the evening sets in, the Winkler winery's wine vending machine provides a quick way to grab a bottle of wine and enjoy the day in peace.
