Ravensburg is one of the beautiful, particularly well-preserved historical cities in southern Germany. As a Free Imperial City and the seat of the Ravensburg Trading Company, Ravensburg rose to prominence in the late Middle Ages as a center in the Lake Constance region. Distinctive buildings, squares, and streets shape the image of the historical old town, which is still largely intact today. In the classic "Ravensburg City History," you will gain an overview of the city's origins, its most important eras, sights, and the present-day Ravensburg. Key locations include Marienplatz, Bachstraße, the Town Hall, Kornhaus, the Protestant City Church, and the Upper Town with the Museum Quarter.
