Tübingen's Martinimarkt is a true merchant market that invites visitors to browse and buy. Packaged foods such as gingerbread and almonds are for sale. In addition, there is a rich selection of household goods, lamb and sheep skins, textiles of all kinds, hats, caps, steel goods, brushes, brooms, wickerwork, cleaning aids, ceramics, leather goods, jewelry, wool, essential oils, and personal care products. The market area includes: marketplace, market alley, Kornhausstraße between Hirschgasse and Bei der Fruchtschranne, Kirchgasse, Holzmarkt, Neckargasse, as well as Neue Straße up to Hafengasse. This area is closed to all vehicular traffic during market hours.
