It's quite remarkable: After more than a quarter of a century, the Jazz & Classical Days can once again present more than fifty concerts, largely featuring musicians from Tübingen and the surrounding region – with a core program that has no repeats from the previous year. As usual, it ranges from talented amateurs to established professionals, with some guests from further afield; from duos to classical bands, symphony orchestras, or big bands. The number of local talents, as well as those drawn to the region, is impressive, and our approach has always been to make them as widely heard as possible. It's astonishing what new talents keep emerging. This is Tübingen, after all. And many, many organizers, young and older musicians, schools, and music schools in the nearby and broader area. The opening concert will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 8 PM in the Great Hall at Sudhaus: Bebelaar/Godard/Cagwin/Kroll/Beck: “Pantheon”: Bach meets Jazz and World Music. Over 30 stages will host around 50 concerts featuring an enormous musical range. Between jazz classics, chamber music, swing-musette, courtly classical, big band sound, or Latin rhythms, there’s something for everyone. The venues range from retail shops to bars, from theater halls to churches, showcasing both well-known and lesser-known musicians from Tübingen, the region, and beyond. The sounds and rhythms will fill the air again during "Swinging Shopping" on the opening Saturday in many stores and shops in the city center. The marching band will also be unmistakably present in the old town.
