Embark on a discovery tour of the charming wine-growing village of Nordheim. The wine-growing community of Nordheim lies between the southeastern foothills of the Heuchelberg and the idyllic oxbow lake of the Neckar River. The restored Katzentalbach stream, along with the beautiful Town Hall Park on the grounds of the former von Marval estate, forms an attractive recreational area right in the heart of the village. Of historical interest are the history of the Seybold/von Marval family, the Old Town Hall, and the Rococo-style parsonage built in 1763, which is considered the most beautiful parsonage in the district. Notable events in Nordheim’s history include the destruction caused by the French invasion of 1693, the town fire of 1810, and a poisoning murder in 1766, following which the perpetrator was executed by the sword.
