Rauhnacht - the Winter Open Air at Waldburg The Rauhnächte are the nights from Christmas to Epiphany, a time between times when the spirit world comes close to the real world. Let yourself be enchanted by magic, fire shows, dragons, Krampuses, incense rituals, and lectures. Listen to the eerie tales of Ignaz Donnerfels, the executioner of Waldburg, and accompany the witch Atropa from the graveyard, who will initiate you into the secrets of the Rauhnächte. On three days, the nights for children (December 28, January 1, and January 5) will feature a torch and lantern parade with the Krampuses around the castle hill.
